Keep Guernsey Green

In 2006 the States of Guernsey created a scheme to encourage local companies and organisations to make Guernsey a cleaner and 'greener' place.

 

The "Keep Guernsey Green Award" requires that participants minimise their impact on the environment by operating according to best practice in waste management.

 

As both a power generator and a local business, Guernsey Electricity has always taken its duty to protect the environment very seriously. However, we are always seeking to improve and therefore became one of the first companies to enrol in the scheme and secured the award in November 2007.
